Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)– Full-time | Connecticut

Location: Ridgefield, Connecticut

Work Setting: Urgent Care Centers
Practice Setting: Outpatient| Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $150,000 per year + benefits

We are currently seeking highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) who are confident in managing urgent care cases across all age groups. As a Family Nurse Practitioner in our urgent care centers, you’ll work in a collaborative yet autonomous role, providing high-quality care to walk-in patients with a wide range of medical needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and clinical evaluations

  • Diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of acute illnesses and minor injuries

  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies

  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, and foreign body removal

  • Prescribe medications based on current clinical guidelines

  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care

  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR system

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care and clinic flow

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner

  • Active Connecticut APRN license and current national board certification (AANP or ANCC)

  • Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)

  • BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice

  • Proficiency in common urgent care procedures and diagnostics

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering empathetic, efficient care

  • Experience in occupational health and worker’s compensation evaluations
