Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) ASAP Opportunity!!
Location: Corsicana, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
There is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)in our team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of highly skilled professionals in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be a certified and experienced COTA who is passionate about helping people improve their abilities to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments
Who are we looking for?
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current and valid COTA certification
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Excellent knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize with and motivate patients
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and handle a high volume of cases
- A strong commitment to patient care and a passion for helping others
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Current CPR certification

What you will do:
- Assisting in the assessment and evaluation of patient’s condition and needs
- Implementing treatment plans and goals as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Assisting patients in performing therapeutic activities and exercises
- Monitoring and documenting patients' progress and updating treatment plans as necessary
- Educating patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA regulations
- Ensuring all equipment and supplies are maintained and used safely and effectively
- Participating in continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices
