Full-time Certified Hand Therapist in Reno, Nevada

We are seeking a full-time, experienced, and licensed Certified Hand Therapist to add to our Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department. This position is responsible for the treatment of patients and communication with staff, patients, patient families, and physicians. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, demonstrating fiscal awareness, and assisting with maintenance and operation of the department.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 per year + benefits

Patient Volume: 1-2 patients per hour schedule

Job Duties:

• Evaluate, diagnoses, determine prognosis, and provide high-quality, personalized, and evidence-based interventions for patients
• Report findings to other healthcare team members through strong communication skills and the use of electronic documentation and billing within Epic EMR
• Participate in and support in-house education, student programs, volunteer/observation, and community outreach programs, educating referring providers including residents and fellows
• Work with a coordinated team of providers to provide comprehensive care for patients
• Determine and implement an annual plan for professional development
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• CHT specialty from Hand Therapy Certification Commission
• Current NV Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy licensure
• 1+ years of hand and upper extremity experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
