Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with the elderly and a commitment to enhancing their independence and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help residents achieve their goals.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques and activities to improve residents' functional abilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care.
- Document progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support ongoing therapy and rehabilitation.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of California.
- Bachelor's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
