Occupational Therapist (OT) – Skilled Nursing Facility | New York, New York

Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Work Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $85,000 to $95,000 + benefits

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. The OT will assess residents’ functional abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to enhance independence in daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills, mobility, and overall function.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, adaptive equipment training, and task modification.
  • Guide patients through exercises and activities to enhance fine motor skills, coordination, and strength.
  • Educate residents and their families on home safety modifications and strategies for continued progress.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff, to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active and valid OT license in New York.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
