Occupational Therapist (OT) – Orthopedic Outpatient
Location: Corsicana , Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our outpatient orthopedic team. In this role, you will work directly with patients to improve their physical functionality, independence, and quality of life. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dynamic therapist to make a meaningful difference in the recovery of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries.
As a PTA in our skilled nursing facility, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized care plans, assist in restoring mobility and function, and promote residents' independence in daily life. Who are we looking for?
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal therapy
- 1+ year of experience in outpatient orthopedic or musculoskeletal therapy settings
- Training or experience in ergonomics, functional movement, or return-to-work programs

What you will do:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions and musculoskeletal impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' upper extremity function, fine motor skills, and daily living activities.
- Utilize therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to restore independence and mobility.
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment, ergonomic principles, and home exercise programs.
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with clinic policies and state regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including Physical Therapists and physicians, to provide comprehensive care.
- Monitor and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
- Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to case discussions, care planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
