As an Occupational Therapist (OT) with us, you will be integral in improving the functional abilities of patients, whether recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. You’ll collaborate with other therapists and physicians to create personalized treatment plans and support patients on their journey to recovery.
Salary: $80,000-$90,000 per year + benefits
Work Hours: Monday - Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and Assess: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs related to injury or disability. Develop comprehensive treatment plans to improve the patient’s ability to perform daily activities.
- Provide Therapeutic Interventions: Use a variety of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, adaptive equipment training, and functional task practice to help patients regain independence.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for your patients.
- Patient Education: Teach patients how to modify their daily activities and use assistive devices to promote independence and minimize the risk of injury.
- Document Progress: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all treatments and patient progress using our user-friendly EMR system.
- Foster Positive Relationships: Build strong therapeutic relationships with your patients, encouraging them through their rehabilitation process and celebrating their achievements.
Requirements:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Florida (or eligible for licensure)
- Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right candidate
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to helping people regain independence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the healthcare team
- Motivated to learn and grow, with an interest in ongoing professional development and specialization (e.g., hand therapy, upper extremity rehab)
