Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Setting (Texas)

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

Location: Corsicana , Texas

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

This role offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population, providing personalized care that promotes functional independence and overall well-being. You will play a pivotal role in assessing, developing, and implementing treatment plans to help patients overcome physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and Evaluate: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Create tailored therapeutic interventions that address patients' goals, such as improving mobility, fine motor skills, self-care, and cognitive functions.
  • Provide Hands-On Therapy: Deliver direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, functional activities, adaptive techniques, and assistive technology.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
  • Track Progress: Monitor patients' progress, document treatment outcomes, and adjust plans as needed to ensure continued improvement.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies to enhance recovery and maintain long-term success outside of therapy.
  • Maintain Records: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest evidence-based practices, interventions, and emerging technologies in the field of occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid and active Texas State Occupational Therapy License.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in an outpatient setting. New graduates with a strong clinical internship experience will also be considered.
  • Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Personal Attributes: Compassionate, dedicated, and motivated to help patients achieve their goals. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities are essential.
