Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) – Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic

Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 per year

Location: Bothell , Washington

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. In this role, you will work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries, providing individualized therapy plans aimed at restoring function, improving quality of life, and helping patients achieve their personal goals. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient setting, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functional abilities, including their fine and gross motor skills, activities of daily living (ADLs), and cognitive abilities. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Implement treatment plans that may include adaptive techniques, strength training, range of motion exercises, and the use of assistive devices or adaptive equipment to enhance patients’ independence and mobility.
  • Educate patients on self-management strategies, including proper ergonomics, home exercises, and techniques to improve daily function. Provide guidance on the use of adaptive equipment to enhance daily activities.
  • Regularly assess patient progress, update treatment plans as necessary, and document patient outcomes and adjustments in a timely, accurate manneWork closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care and recovery.
  • Create customized home exercise programs to reinforce therapy goals and ensure continued progress outside the clinic.
  • Assist patients in making recommendations for workplace or home modifications to improve function and reduce the risk of future injuries.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols and insurance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure) as an Occupational Therapist in Washington.
  • Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic or musculoskeletal setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant clinical internship experience are welcome to apply.
  • Strong understanding of orthopedic conditions, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, adaptive techniques, and therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to educate and motivate patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
