Job Type:
Full-time (Monday through Friday) or Part-time (Flexible hours)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using optometric equipment and diagnostic interpretation remotely, focusing on outpatient care.
- Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases, prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses, visual aids, and medications where permitted, catering to outpatient needs.
- Provide remote consultations and treatments for visual or eye health issues within the outpatient care setting.
- Evaluate patients for additional health conditions like diabetes or hypertension, referring to other healthcare providers as needed, while focusing on outpatient care.
- Promote eye and general health through counseling with an outpatient focus.
- Adhere to the highest standards of vision practice, ethics, and professionalism while working remotely with an outpatient care focus.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (DO) degree from an accredited optometry school, completed National Board of Examiners in Optometry exam.
- Current Doctor of Optometry (DO) license.
- CPR - BLS (basic life support) certification.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a specific focus on outpatient care.
- Excellent customer service skills and computer literacy.
- Comfortable providing care to a culturally diverse patient base.
- Flexible work hours as required for both full-time and part-time roles.
- Prior work experience at least 3 years of experience.
Salary:
$160k to $220k a year
