Job Type:
- Full-time (Monday through Friday) or Part-time (Flexible hours)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough remote eye examinations using specialized optometric equipment, emphasizing outpatient care
- Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases, prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses, visual aids, and medications where applicable, tailored to outpatient needs
- Deliver remote consultations and treatments for visual or eye health concerns within the outpatient care setting
- Evaluate patients for additional health conditions such as diabetes or hypertension, referring to other healthcare providers when necessary, while focusing on outpatient care
- Advocate for eye and general health through counseling, with a primary focus on outpatient care
- Maintain the highest standards of vision practice, ethics, and professionalism while working remotely with a focus on outpatient care
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (DO) degree from an accredited optometry school, completed National Board of Examiners in Optometry exam
- Current Doctor of Optometry (DO) license
- CPR - BLS (basic life support) certification
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a specific emphasis on outpatient care
- Excellent customer service skills and proficiency in computer use
- Comfortable providing care to a culturally diverse patient base
- Flexibility in work hours required for both full-time and part-time positions
- Minimum of 3 years of prior work experience
Salary:
- $160,000 to $220,000 per year
