Responsibilities:
As an Optometrist, you'll assure the delivery of quality vision care to patients. Your key responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary interface with the Clinic Medical Director and Health Center Manager.
- Ensuring the Vision Clinic is fully operational during scheduled hours.
- Supervising optometric technicians and guiding preliminary and specialized testing.
- Providing routine eye exams, urgent care, and other vision care within the clinic setting.
- Coordinating referrals to specialists or providers when necessary.
- Monitoring and maintaining quality standards in medical records documentation.
- Acting as a resource for physicians and clinic staff on vision care issues.
- Participating in studies to develop cost-benefit information for primary care vision Clinic.
- Collaborating with the Clinic management team for smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Optometry Degree.
- All necessary state licenses/certifications to practice.
- Federal DEA license and State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if applicable.
- CPR certification.
- 3 years of experience minimum
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems preferred.
- Detail-oriented, multitasking ability, and proficiency in software applications.
Salary:
- $160,000 to $220,000 per year
