Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000 per year + benefits

As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, manage inventory, and ensure the safe and accurate processing of prescriptions. Working under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, you’ll play a critical role in patient safety and healthcare team collaboration.
Job Duties:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products under the direction of a licensed pharmacist
- Assist in the preparation and compounding of medications (including sterile preparations when applicable)
- Label and package medications in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements
- Manage medication inventories, ensuring timely restocking and expiration date management
- Perform medication therapy management and assist with patient consultations and counseling
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage prescription documentation
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues
- Assist with administrative duties including customer service, inventory control, and data entry
- Follow all health and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent required
- New York State Pharmacy Technician License (or eligibility to obtain)
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree preferred)
- Prior experience in a pharmacy setting (hospital or retail) is a plus
- Knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and proper medication storage
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and computer systems
