Job Duties:
As a Medical Office Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing and reviewing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Collaborating with department heads to analyze and interpret financial data, providing insightful recommendations to optimize financial performance.
- Conducting periodic audits to identify and rectify discrepancies or inefficiencies.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual tax filings and working closely with external auditors.
- Supporting the finance team in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Job Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and Medicare billing, is a plus.
Salary:
$55,000-$70,000 per year
