Phlebotomist - Full-time position

Location: Union City, New Jersey

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our growing healthcare team in New Jersey. As a vital member of our laboratory and patient care departments, you’ll play a key role in collecting blood specimens, ensuring accurate labeling, and delivering a safe, positive experience for every patient.

Salary: $280,000-$300,000 per year + benefits

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday - Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws from patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and seniors
  • Accurately label, process, and transport blood and specimen samples to the lab according to established protocols
  • Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized phlebotomy station following infection control and safety standards
  • Interact with patients in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring comfort and minimizing anxiety
  • Follow proper procedures for specimen handling, storage, and disposal
  • Assist in quality control, inventory of supplies, and equipment maintenance
  • Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations at all times

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
  • National Phlebotomy Certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA, NCPT, or CPT) strongly preferred
  • At least 6 months to 1 year of recent experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred (new grads welcome to apply)
  • BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a calm, patient-first attitude
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
