We're Hiring: Full-Time Phlebotomist
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM
Compensation: $115,000.00 - $135,000 per year + benefits
Are you a compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist with a passion for patient care and accuracy? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our growing team across Pennsylvania. As a Phlebotomist, you’ll play a critical role in diagnostic healthcare by collecting blood samples with precision and professionalism to support effective patient care.
As a Phlebotomist, your primary responsibility will be to perform blood draws and ensure the safe, accurate, and timely collection of patient specimens.
Job Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws for a variety of patients, ensuring comfort and accuracy
- Label and prepare specimens for processing and testing
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide clear instructions to patients prior to and following procedures
- Adhere to proper infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene, equipment sterilization, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the laboratory’s supplies, equipment, and specimen storage
- Ensure accurate documentation of blood collection information in electronic health records (EHR) or laboratory systems
- Collaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, and healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate testing results
- Provide excellent customer service, answering any questions patients may have about the process
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following all safety regulations and maintaining equipment in working order
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Phlebotomy certification (e.g., CPT) preferred
- Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinical, hospital, or outpatient setting is preferred, but we are open to training motivated entry-level candidates
- Familiarity with venipuncture techniques, blood specimen collection, and laboratory safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor, especially in high-pressure situations
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
