Physical Therapist Assistant - Aurora Wellness Center

We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant for a compassionate and friendly Physical Therapy Assistant to assist in providing optimum level of resident care. The responsibility of this position includes the day-to-day therapeutic intervention of appropriate individuals in the rehab environment under the direct supervision of a registered Physical Therapist.

Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM)
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medical records and verify MD's orders and physical therapy assessments before implementing treatment.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding patients' statuses, including sensorimotor and musculoskeletal evaluations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to gather additional information on patient needs.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Train patients, families, and direct care staff on follow-through programs.
  • Participate in care plan/team meetings as needed for patients receiving services.
  • Follow documented treatment plans that may include ROM, therapeutic exercise, and mobility applications.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and a commitment to patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
