Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant - Aurora Wellness Center

We seek a skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant to join our full-time team. In this role, you will provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and standard exercise techniques. You will instruct and guide patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities.

Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM)
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting their status and reporting findings to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Assist patients in performing specific exercises as part of their care plan.
  • Employ a variety of treatment techniques, including massage and stretching.
  • Utilize devices and equipment, such as walkers, to facilitate patient recovery.
  • Educate patients and family members on post-treatment care and self-management strategies.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Must possess a current CA PTA license and an AAS PTA degree.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
