Physical Therapist Assistant - Aurora Wellness Center

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement individualized care plans for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM)

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as trigger point therapy.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home health care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care within occupational health settings.
  • Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols while delivering patient care in various environments.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
  • Experience in inpatient settings or skilled nursing facilities is preferred but optional.
  • Familiarity with trigger point therapy techniques is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and working effectively as part of a healthcare team.
