Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Needed Urgent

Location: Stockton, California

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 per year + benefits

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans designed to improve patients’ physical function and overall quality of life. You will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions, ensuring they achieve optimal outcomes.

Patient Volume: 1-2 patients per hour

Job Duties:

  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists.
  • Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and other treatments as outlined in the patient’s plan of care.
  • Monitor patient progress, record data, and provide feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and safety during therapy.
  • Assist with the setup and operation of therapeutic equipment.
  • Document patient responses to treatments and communicate any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Ensure the treatment area is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as patient scheduling and managing patient records, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current California State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is a plus but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy treatment techniques and modalities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and clinic management software is preferred.
