Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Spokane, Washington
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
We are seeking for a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. You'll also play a crucial role in delivering hands-on care and helping patients regain their independence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, functional training, and other modalities.
- Document patient progress and communicate with the Physical Therapist regarding any changes in the patient's condition.
- Ensure patients are following prescribed treatment plans and provide encouragement and motivation during their rehabilitation.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
- Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, exercises, and other relevant therapeutic techniques.
- Ensure patient safety at all times during treatments and exercises.
Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Active and valid PTA licensure in the state of Washington.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
