Join Our Team: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic

Location: Tacoma, Washington

Work Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000 per year + benefits

We’re currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. If you're enthusiastic about orthopedic rehabilitation and want to be part of a collaborative, upbeat, and professional environment, this role is for you.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to carry out treatment plans and help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence following orthopedic injuries or surgeries. You’ll play a key role in motivating and guiding patients through their rehab journey.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality treatment interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising PT.
  • Educate patients on at-home exercises, body mechanics, and functional mobility strategies.
  • Set up and maintain therapy equipment and assist in keeping treatment areas clean and organized.
  • Document daily patient treatments, responses, and progress accurately and in compliance with state and company standards.
  • Support a positive, team-first environment that prioritizes patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Washington State PTA license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
  • CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Prior outpatient orthopedic experience is a plus, but not required—we welcome motivated new graduates with strong clinical training!
  • Solid communication skills and a patient-centered mindset.
  • A team-oriented attitude, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
