Job Title: Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Carson City, Nevada

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $60,000 to $ 75,000 + benefits

As a Physical Therapist Assistant specializing in orthopedic care, you will work closely with physical therapists to implement and execute personalized treatment plans, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care.

What You Bring:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and valid PTA license in the state of Nevada (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Previous experience working as a PTA, especially in an orthopedic setting, is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy outpatient clinic
  • CPR certification required (or willing to obtain before start date)

What will you do?

  • Aid in carrying out treatment plans, under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions.
  • Use therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to help patients recover.
  • Educate patients on exercise programs, safe movement techniques, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Document and track patient progress, ensuring that the care plan remains effective and updated as the patient advances in their recovery.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team with physical therapists, orthopedic specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
  • Foster strong relationships with patients, offering encouragement, empathy, and motivation throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and company policies while delivering patient care.
