Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Homecare

Location: Festus,Missouri

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation:$60,000 to $75,000 + benefits

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our homecare team. In this role, you will work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver in-home therapy services to patients recovering from surgery or injury, or managing chronic conditions. You’ll be helping patients achieve their goals of improved mobility and enhanced quality of life in a comfortable, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in performing exercises and stretches as prescribed by a licensed physical therapist
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the physical therapist
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercises and safety techniques
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Ensure that patients receive care in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide transportation assistance for patients when necessary (if applicable)

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Missouri
  • Previous experience in homecare or outpatient settings is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients as required
  • Must have a reliable mode of transportation
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
