Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Homecare
Location: Goshen, New York
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation:$60,000 to $75,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who shares our commitment to evidence-based care, hands-on treatment, and personalized patient progress. If you love helping people reach their goals in a positive, high-energy environment—this could be the perfect role for you!
As a PTA, you’ll work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality care. You’ll implement treatment plans, assist with manual therapy techniques, and provide hands-on guidance to help patients progress toward recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out personalized treatment plans created by the supervising PT
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and modality-based interventions
- Document patient progress clearly and accurately in the EMR system
- Provide education and support to patients on exercises, body mechanics, and self-care
- Monitor patient safety and technique throughout sessions
- Work collaboratively with PTs, front office staff, and referring providers
Requirements:
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in New York State (required)
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
- CPR/BLS certification
- Friendly, motivated, and coachable team player
- Strong communication and patient engagement skills
- Interest or experience in orthopedic/sports rehabilitation
- 1+ years of outpatient orthopedic experience (new grads welcome!)
- Familiarity with EMR systems (WebPT, NetHealth, etc.)
- Interest in manual therapy, functional movement, or performance rehab
