Seeking Compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to Join our Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic.
Work Schedule:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at an orthopedic outpatient clinic. In this role, you'll work closely with our licensed Physical Therapist to provide exceptional care and support to our patients. Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
- $50,000 to $60,000 a year plus benefits
- Assist the Physical Therapist in conducting patient evaluations and assessments with care and professionalism
- Implement treatment plans and adjust exercises as directed by the Physical Therapist, ensuring patient well-being is the top priority
- Supervise and guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities with patience and encouragement
- Apply various physical therapy modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation) to alleviate pain and enhance function while maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Educate patients and their families on safe techniques for performing exercises and activities at home, offering guidance and support
- Track patient progress and document treatment outcomes in a detailed and compassionate manner
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records with attention to detail
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution
- Current New York state Physical Therapy Assistant licensure.
- 2 years of clinical experience in an Orthopedic outpatient setting.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and a passion for patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach
- Ability to work independently and within a team, fostering collaboration and respect
