Physical Therapist Assistant - Sigma Physical Therapy Center

Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM)
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists in conducting thorough patient evaluations and assessments.
  • Implement and adjust treatment plans and exercises as directed, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
  • Supervise and guide patients through therapeutic exercises in a supportive environment.
  • Apply various physical therapy modalities, such as heat and electrical stimulation, to alleviate pain and enhance functionality.
  • Educate patients and their families on safe home exercise techniques and self-management strategies.
  • Meticulously document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with facility policies.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
  • Current Maryland licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a warm and supportive atmosphere.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
