Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant - Sigma Physical Therapy Center

Join our dedicated team at Sigma Physical Therapy Center in Maryland as a skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant. In this full-time position, you will provide essential physical therapy treatments under the supervision of our licensed physical therapists, utilizing a range of modalities and manual techniques. Your role will be pivotal in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey.

Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM)
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and assess patients before, during, and after therapy, reporting findings to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Assist patients with specific exercises aligned with their personalized care plans.
  • Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including massage and stretching, to facilitate recovery.
  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and effective self-management strategies.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned, contributing to a cohesive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Must possess a current Maryland PTA license and an AAS PTA degree.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered focus.
