Physical Therapist Assistant - Sigma Physical Therapy Center

Sigma Physical Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team in Maryland. You will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement individualized care plans for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM)
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physical therapists to develop effective, personalized care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
  • Monitor patient progress and promptly report any changes or concerns.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and effective home care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in line with facility policies.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Maryland licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
  • Experience in inpatient settings or skilled nursing facilities is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
