Physical Therapist Assistant - NovaMed Physical Therapy Center

Are you driven by a desire to help others regain their strength and independence? NovaMed Physical Therapy Center in Florida is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. Here, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients on their journey to recovery.

Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM)
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physical therapists to design and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Assist in therapeutic exercises, providing hands-on support and guidance to ensure effectiveness.
  • Document patient responses and progress, maintaining accurate records per facility standards.
  • Educate patients and their families on self-management strategies and home exercise techniques.
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams to ensure well-rounded patient care and support.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic treatment environment in accordance with infection control guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and a commitment to patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
