Physical Therapist Assistant - NovaMed Physical Therapy Center
Join NovaMed Physical Therapy Center in Florida as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and be part of a team dedicated to transforming lives through effective rehabilitation. We’re looking for a caring professional who can contribute to our mission of improving mobility and quality of life for our patients.
Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM - 5 PM or 8 AM - 4 PM)
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed physical therapists in the assessment and development of individualized care plans.
- Implement treatment protocols and support patients during therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Record patient progress and provide feedback to the supervising therapist for care adjustments.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and at-home care techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for all.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance your skills.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and a commitment to patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
