As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with licensed Physical Therapists, helping residents navigate their rehabilitation goals. Your encouragement and expertise will play a vital role in creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere that promotes healing and personal growth.
Salary: $60,000 to $80,000
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for each resident.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families on ongoing therapy practices and home exercises.
- Assist in conducting thorough assessments of residents’ physical capabilities and limitations.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists to promote rehabilitation.
- Administer therapeutic interventions, including exercises and manual therapy, to enhance residents' functional independence.
- Document residents’ progress and any changes in their condition for effective communication with the supervising PT.
Requirements:
- Must have AAS degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Currently active PTA state license
- Must have 2 years of experience in orthopedic.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
