Full Time Physical Therapist
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice. A Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve mobility. You will play a crucial role in implementing treatment plans, educating patients, and monitoring their progress.
Salary: $50,000-$60,000 per year with full benefits.

- Assisting physical therapists in providing treatment to patients, including administering exercises and modalities as prescribed.
- Following treatment plans developed by physical therapists and adjusting interventions as necessary under their supervision.
- Educating patients and their families about exercises, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Observing and documenting patients' progress during therapy sessions and reporting changes to the supervising physical therapist.
- Setting up and maintaining therapeutic equipment, ensuring it is safe and functional.
- Teaching patients how to perform exercises correctly to promote recovery and prevent injury.
- Completing necessary documentation, including patient records and billing information.
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
- Active New York state license as Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Must have 2 years relevant experience.
- Strong manual therapy skills and training.
- Familiarity with EMR Software (e.g., WebPT).
- Ability to think critically and adapt treatment plans based on patient responses and needs.
