Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists to provide personalized, high-quality care. Your hands-on support will be vital in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain their strength, mobility, and independence. You’ll play an essential role in assisting patients throughout their recovery journey, offering tailored treatments, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way.
Salary: $75,000-$85,000 a year with full benefits
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9-5 pm
Patient Volume: 1-2 patient an hour
Patient Type: Adult Patients
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Physical Therapist with patient evaluations and assessments in a kind and respectful manner
- Modify treatment plans and exercises as directed by the Physical Therapist, always putting patient needs first
- Instruct and supervise patients on therapeutic exercises and activities with patience and empathy
- Utilize various modalities, such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation, to help relieve pain and improve function, while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home with kindness and understanding
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes in a thorough and compassionate manner
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
- Current CA State license as Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum 2 years of proven clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Familiarity with EMR Software (e.g., WebPT)
- Proficiency in basic manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Skills in educating patients and their families about therapeutic exercises
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
