Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant in Montgomery, New York

We are looking for a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) in treating patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. The PTA will assist in implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, and ensuring optimal patient care and recovery.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 per year + benefits

Patient Volume: 1-2 patients per hour

Job Duties:

  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the PT
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and functional activities
  • Monitor and document patient progress, responses, and modifications to therapy
  • Educate patients on proper movement techniques, home exercise programs, and injury prevention
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout therapy sessions
  • Work with PT's, doctors, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and insurance guidelines

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from a CAPTE-accredited program
  • Valid New York PTA License
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitation protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with EMR System Web PT is a plus
