Join Our Team: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Plainsboro, New Jersey

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $70,000 to $90,000 + benefits

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our New Jersey-based team, working alongside experienced Physical Therapists to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist to meet patients’ rehabilitation goals.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional mobility training.
  • Administer modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising PT.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention techniques and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • Active PTA license in New Jersey.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred (new graduates with clinical rotations are encouraged to apply).
  • Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
