Join Our Team: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Hopewell, New Jersey
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $70,000 to $90,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team in New Jersey. In this role, you will collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitation care that helps patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional activities.
- Administer modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy) to promote recovery.
- Monitor and document patient progress, communicating any changes to the supervising PT.
- Educate patients on injury prevention strategies and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Requirements:
- Active PTA license in New Jersey
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred (new graduates with clinical rotations are encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
