Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Position: Physical Therapist Assitant

Location: Kaufman , Texas

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 + benefits

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated, licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our orthopedic outpatient program. This role is an integral part of the therapy team and is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, has a passion for musculoskeletal rehab, and is eager to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

As a PTA in our clinic, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and help execute treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals. You will have opportunities to grow, collaborate, and refine your clinical skills alongside a highly experienced team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by supervising Physical Therapists for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal issues.
  • Lead patients through therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, and pain management interventions.
  • Apply a variety of therapeutic modalities (e.g., ultrasound, e-stim, heat/cold therapy) as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient performance, response to treatment, and report progress or concerns to the PT.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and motivating clinical environment for all patients and staff.
  • Provide education to patients and caregivers about exercises, posture, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Participate in clinic meetings, case reviews, quality assurance activities, and staff development programs.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant License in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and professional bedside manner
  • Ability to follow direction, stay organized, and multitask in a dynamic outpatient setting
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and delivering high-quality care
  • 1+ year of experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehabilitation
  • Desire to work in a team-focused clinic that values mentorship, peer collaboration, and continuous improvement
