Needed: Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (Full-time)

Where: Ouray, Colorado

Annual Income Potential: $70,000 – $80,000 + benefits

Job Details:

Calling all skilled Physical Therapists Assistants who have experience working with pediatric patients. Join our growing team Now! The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in providing therapeutic treatments to children and adolescents with physical challenges.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Patient Volume: 1-2 patients per hour

Job Duties:

  • Assist in implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
  • Support children in performing exercises and activities designed to enhance their physical abilities.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate and support families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and at-home activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and child-friendly therapeutic environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Licensure: Active Colorado PTA license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience: Preferably 1+ year of experience in pediatric therapy, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience with sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), or orthopedics is a plus.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams.
