Looking for Physical Therapist Assistant at Stride Physical Therapy Center

We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become a key member of our dynamic healthcare team. You will be working directly under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide essential support to patients in their journey toward recovery and enhanced mobility. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm or 8am - 4 pm)

Salary: $60k to $80k a year plus benefits

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Physical Therapists in conducting detailed assessments to evaluate patient conditions, physical limitations, and needs. This involves gathering patient history, understanding their therapy goals, and setting realistic expectations for their recovery.
  • Execute individualized treatment plans created by the Physical Therapist, adjusting exercises and modalities as needed, and ensuring that each patient’s therapy is tailored to their progress and specific health goals.
  • Lead patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety at every step. Encourage patients through both physical and emotional challenges, motivating them to remain engaged and committed to their recovery.
  • Apply a variety of physical therapy modalities, such as heat packs, cold therapy, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and manual therapy techniques to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and improve functionality. Ensure patient comfort and monitor for any adverse reactions.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution
  • Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • 2 years of clinical experience in a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and a passion for patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, fostering collaboration and respect
