Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant Needed
Delivers physical therapy treatments under the direction of licensed physical therapists, applying modalities, manual therapy, and common exercise practices. Guides and educates patients in functional tasks, including bed mobility, transfers, walking, and balance activities. Functions independently with minimal oversight and may coach and train staff in technical procedures.
Salary: 60,000 to $80,000 yearly plus full benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting their status and reporting it to a physical therapist
- Help patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of care
- Treat patients using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretching
- Use devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients
- Educate patients and family members about what to do after treatment
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate from a CAPTE-Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
- Must have a CA PTA LICENSE, AAS PTA DEGREE
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
