Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)– Orthopedic Outpatient
Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Daytona Beach, Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $55,000 to $60,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing outpatient clinic team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver hands-on care, implement treatment plans, and help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist with mobility training, gait analysis, and patient education.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy.
- Monitor and document patients’ progress and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with the PT and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Licensure: Active and valid PTA license in Florida.
- Experience: Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient or rehab setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
