Now Hiring: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Petersburg, Virginia

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our orthopedic outpatient office in Virginia. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to deliver hands-on therapeutic care, helping patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and orthopedic conditions.

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 per year + benefits

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist to improve patients' mobility, strength, and function.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training to promote recovery.
  • Apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy as directed.
  • Monitor and document patients’ progress and responses to therapy.
  • Collaborate with the PT and interdisciplinary team to adjust treatment plans based on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic policies and regulations.

Requirements:

Licensure: Active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia.

Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient or rehabilitation setting is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
  • Detail-oriented and compassionate approach to care.
