Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Orthopedic Outpatient
Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
Location: The Dalles, Oregon
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our orthopedic outpatient clinic in Oregon. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, assisting in providing treatments, monitoring patient progress, and supporting rehabilitation plans.
Our outpatient clinic specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. We foster a collaborative and supportive environment where healthcare professionals thrive and make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement and guide patients through prescribed physical therapy programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Assist with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional mobility training.

Monitor and document patient responses, progress, and any changes in condition.

Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and injury prevention strategies.

Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy.

Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with clinic standards and regulations.

Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:

Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Oregon.

Education: Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.

Experience: Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting preferred (new graduates welcome).

Strong understanding of orthopedic therapy techniques and patient care protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
