Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Orthopedic Outpatient

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Location: Central Point, Oregon

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 + benefits

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team in Oregon. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, helping residents improve their strength, balance, and mobility. You will play a vital role in enhancing the physical function and independence of seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans tailored to each resident’s needs.

  • Provide hands-on therapy, including therapeutic exercises, balance training, and mobility interventions.

  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound as directed.

  • Monitor and document residents' progress, reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Educate residents and staff on safe mobility practices and exercise techniques.

  • Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to support resident care plans.

  • Ensure compliance with ALF policies, safety protocols, and state regulations.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Oregon.

  • Education: Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.

  • Experience: Previous experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or geriatric care preferred (new graduates welcome).

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and senior care protocols.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
