Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic

Location: Newport, Oregon

Job Description:

Our clinic in Oregon is seeking a skilled PTA to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence. Make a meaningful impact by delivering personalized, evidence-based therapy.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for implementing treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist in accordance with all state and federal regulations. They collaborate with facility staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being for the residents.

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year + benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists (PTs) in delivering individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative procedures, and sports injuries.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including guided exercises, manual therapy, and functional mobility training.

  • Instruct patients on proper body mechanics, posture correction, and home exercise programs.

  • Utilize rehabilitation modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic taping under PT supervision.

  • Monitor and document patient progress, response to treatment, and any modifications to therapy plans.

  • Collaborate with PTs, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective, patient-centered care.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in compliance with clinic standards and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current Oregon PTA license in good standing.

  • Experience in orthopedic outpatient or musculoskeletal rehab settings preferred.

  • Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional movement training.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
