Physical Therapy Assistant

Position: Physical Therapy Assistant
Location: Arlington, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 + Benefits

Position Overview

We primarily serve a sports and orthopedic population, including high school, university, and professional sports. The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the supervision of a physical therapist, conducts patient assessment, testing,g and therapy using standard physical therapy modalities to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the evaluation of the client’s daily living skills and capacities to determine the extent of abilities and limitations

  • Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques, including exercise Instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic program

  • Observe patients during treatments and report observations to Physical Therapist

  • Communicate with staff and other health team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs

Qualifications:

  • Must hold an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and/or have passed the NPTE for Physical Therapy Assistants.

  • Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice required

  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families and other employees at all levels.

  • Minimum of one year's experience
