Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient Setting (Texas)

Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000 per year

Location: Sugar Land, Texas

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our outpatient clinic, you will work closely with Physical Therapists to assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans. You will be responsible for helping patients perform exercises and activities designed to improve their mobility, strength, and function. You’ll also monitor their progress, educate them on proper techniques, and provide hands-on care to support their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists to execute individualized treatment plans and therapeutic exercises, including stretching, strengthening, and functional training.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to patients during therapy sessions, ensuring they perform exercises and activities safely and effectively.
  • Observe and document patients' progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Teach patients proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and safe movement strategies to facilitate recovery and prevent injury.
  • Accurately maintain patient records, including progress notes, daily treatments, and any changes to the treatment plan.
  • Set up and monitor therapeutic equipment used during patient sessions to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Physical Therapist, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each patient.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Texas.
  • Previous experience as a PTA, particularly in an outpatient setting, is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient care, ability to follow treatment plans, excellent communication skills, and eagerness to learn and collaborate with the healthcare team.
