Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 per year

Location: Utica, New York

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Our well-established and expanding orthopedic and sports rehabilitation practice is seeking a motivated PTA to join our team. We specialize in treating a variety of conditions, from post-surgical recovery to sports-related injuries, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, personalized care to help patients get back to the activities they love.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing patient treatment plans developed by the physical therapist, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, manual therapy, and functional training.
  • Monitor and document patient progress during each session, providing feedback to the supervising physical therapist on improvements or setbacks.
  • Provide hands-on care including therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening programs, and post-surgical rehabilitation techniques.
  • Educate and motivate patients on proper body mechanics, safe movement patterns, and home exercise programs to aid in recovery and injury prevention.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards for documentation and reporting.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they feel supported and motivated.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of New York.
  • Experience or a strong interest in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, and active patient populations.
  • Proficient in manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and provide clear instructions.
  • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
