Now Hiring: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) | Assisted Living Facilities
Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 per year
Location: Trenton, New Jersey
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Are you a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who thrives on meaningful, one-on-one care? Do you want to work in a setting that values dignity, mobility, and quality of life for older adults?
We’re expanding our premier orthopedic outpatient practice into affiliated Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) across New Jersey, and we’re looking for a compassionate, skilled PTA to join our growing on-site rehab team. You’ll work closely with our Physical Therapists, Orthopedic Physicians, Occupational Therapists, and Chiropractors to deliver high-quality care directly in the homes of aging adults—without clinic walls, waiting rooms, or rushed visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out treatment plans designed by licensed PTs in ALFs, focusing on orthopedic recovery and mobility enhancement
- Deliver care with empathy, attention to detail, and a strong clinical foundation
- Monitor and report on patient progress and response to treatment
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for coordinated care
- Build trusted relationships with residents, caregivers, and facility staff
- Maintain accurate documentation using a user-friendly mobile EMR system
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey PTA license
- Prior experience in outpatient, geriatrics, homecare, or ALF/SNF preferred
- A passion for helping seniors maintain independence and dignity
- Ability to work independently while remaining part of a broader clinical team
- Strong communication, time management, and adaptability
